From the heart of the equatorial jungle, 5,000 years ago, the seed of the fine cacao of Aroma was born.

Its inhabitants recognized its power and developed a delicate and subtle art to transform this sacred elixir into what is known today as chocolate.

MAYTA, in native Quechua, meaning something UNIQUE, something POWERFUL.

The MAYTA mask represents time converted into art- the union of ancient knowledge with modern science, to produce a chocolate that connects the past with the future.

Sourced directly from Ecuador’s high-altitude coffee farms, our Arabica of altitude coffee is carefully selected and delicately processed in Ecuador to reveal the full aroma and rich flavor of this specialty coffee. Ecuador’s unique geographic and climatic conditions allow farmers to select the optimal location for their sustainable farms from dozens of fertile volcanic soils and varying levels of altitude, humidity and sunlight.

Each Mayta chocolate recipe is a rich treasure brought to you from a specific region with its own story hidden in the mystical Pre-Colombian past. We have created a beautiful collection of twelve chocolate bars, each with a unique flavor and a mystical story to tell.
